What is it with K.Ro and these cheap ass videos? Once again, love the song but hate the video. She sure is working those hand routines though. Manly hands she has. And those arms. Kelly’s been in the gym a lot lately. Speaking of manly, anyone else get the “drag” vibe from K.Ro in this video?

The second single and number one hit for Eminem and Rihanna from the platinum number one selling album, Recovery. I love this song. I think the video is nice. Nothing EPIC, just nice. It's nothing to go all gaga over. I also can't see all the hype about Megan Fox. She can't act and she isn't that pretty to me. However, I cannot get past the fact that Rihanna is collaborating with a guy known for domestic violence against his former wife, and seems fine with being featured in a video that displays domestic violence, especially when she's supposed to be the victim given all that she's gone through.But hey, at least she's getting that check.

The 2nd single from one of the year's best selling female R&B artist, Monica, is poised to become her 2nd number one R&B hit from the number one album, Still Standing. "Love All Over Me" is a soulful ballad, the follow-up to the first single, "Everything To Me", a number one hit for 8 weeks on the charts. LAOM, which once again the fans decided for the single thanks to Monica and J Records, jumped ten spots to reach #14 in its 8th week. The video, which finally premiered on 106 & Park yesterday, is beautiful and cinematic, although not completed as there are alternate endings. It stars Lakers champion player Shannon Brown, who portray's Monica's new love, and rapper Maino, the old love who had to go away for a few years. Monica and Shannon are engaged to be married but when Maino returns back into her life, Monica is left to choose who she wants to be with. The twist: the fans get to decide her fate. Voting is currently underway, and this version of the video will run until the final results revealed on Friday, July 23rd. The final video will be revealed, showing who the fans decided Monica will meet at the alter. Who will it be? Stay tuned.
I saw this video earlier as someone tweeted it and the title alone caught my attention. I was half expecting some "religious zealot" to start speaking on how homosexuality was "wrong" and that God "hates" gay people, and blah blah blah. This video is amazing and speaks the same views I have. It's sad that these so-called CHRISTIANS only single out homosexuality from the Bible. The same Bible, as this guy said and I've been saying for years, that was used to justify slavery, racial discrimination and etc. The same Bible that contains only SIX admonishments to homosexuality but 362 admonishments to heterosexuality. What about tattoos, polygamy, adultery, divorcing and remarrying, promiscuity, premarital sex, rape, body piercing...see where I'm going with this? Don't even get me started on "Sodomy" when it has absolutely NOTHING to do with homosexuality. I wish these "Christians" would stop speaking and spreading what they're "taught" and actually pick up the Bible and really read it for themselves. The second testament is about "God is love" but these people who claim to walk with God are full of hate.

This is one of my favorites off the Element of Freedom. I love the video except for the ending. This is shaping up to be a big hit. I’m glad she went with this song as a single instead of the one with Bouncy. I don't think that song has a chance at all.

X-tina really turned it on in this video, looking like one sexxxy, slutty MILF. Sadly, she's getting flack for "copying" Lady Gaga, when X-tina had already done the same things Gaga is doing now. Don't get me wrong; I'm a Gaga fan but if it wasn't for X-tina, she wouldn't be here. I mean, did we forget the Stripped era? Anyway, this will definitely be the VOTW next week.

"Make My Heart" is a nice video, very different. However, I just cannot get into the song, no matter how much I try. Hell, I doubt I would like it even if Bouncy recorded it. I love, love, LOVE me some Toni Braxton but I’m just too disappointed in her and the direction of this project. Over 25 recorded songs leaked over the past year, and she and the label decided to pick 11 of those tracks for the album, half of them being the weakest including this one. They completely threw away the best songs Toni recorded this era. Even though "Make My Heart" impacts urban radio on April 20th (it has already been at radio since February), none of Toni's singles have taken off, including *great songs* "Hands Tied" the original and remix of "Yesterday" that features Trey SongzThings just can’t seem to go right for Toni but this time it’s her own fault. She’s trying too hard.

As for the song, the jury is still out on that. I want to like it but what am I supposed to do? I can't even bob my head to it, let alone attempt to dance. It seems uncomfortable...like a white dude in a black club in the back of the hood.
As if Monica wasn't enough last week, R&B is taking over again with the new releases from two of the genre's biggest stars: Usher and Erykah Badu.
Lady Badu, who is pretty much like royalty of neo-soul, comes back to us with the second part of her four album series, New Amerykah, Pt. 2: Return of the Ankh. The album features the lead hit single, "Window Seat", along with tracks such as "Jump In The Air (and Stay There)" featuring Lil Wayne and Bilal, "Incense" featuring Kirsten Agnesta, "Out My Mind, Just In Time" and "Turn Me Away (Get Munny)". This album is as brilliant as, if not better than, Part One. If this is your kind of stuff, get the album. If this is not your cup of tea, GET INTO IT! Grade: A
Usher drops his new album,Raymond v. Raymond, as the follow-up the lackluster, critically acclaimed, Here I Stand, which was met with lukewarm reception. Led by the lead smash hit single, Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home), the album comes jam-packed with tunes about partying, love, sex & relationships. Including tracks like "Lil Freak" featuring Nicki Minaj and "There Goes My Baby", which are also gaining at radio, the album features also features Ludacris, will.I.am, and T.I. Of course, this is no Confessions, however it is a step in the right direction and miles above Here I Stand. The only song worth skipping, in my opinion, is "Papers". Standout tracks include "O.M.G", "Mars vs. Venus", "Foolin' Around" and "Making Love (Into The Night)". Grade: A-

Dondria is a new artist, signed to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label. The song has been receiving lots of airplay on the radio lately, and I just discovered the song over the weekend. I love it. The video is kinda similar to Monica's "Everything To Me", though.
