There aren't just dumb customers...

There are dumb hotel guests too.

Just because we're right next door to Turner Studios, it doesn't mean I see celebrities.
Parking is free. It's a fricking hotel!!
"Can I speak to the manager?" "Sure, one moment." *transfers*...."I got disconnected. I need the manager." No bitch, you got his voicemail. Leave a message.
WE SAID WE CAN'T EMAIL YOU SHIT WHEN YOU CHECK OUT!!!!! CLEAN YOUR FUCKING EARS!!!
"Is there designated parking?" "No. It's a hotel parking lot for the guest. You can park wherever." "But I just asked if there's designated parking and you said no." *wonders if this bitch heard what I said or knows what designated means*
You don't call the front desk to complain then tip the person you complained about.
Don't sit in the parking lot, call the hotel's front desk to ask questions about the hotel if you're potentially staying there.
"No. Atlantic Station is just within walking distance, we'll walk." Okay. It's hotter than Satan's coochie and A.S. is a 20 minute walk...go 'head on.
Please have the address and building name BEFORE you get on the shuttle.
No, I don't speak Spanish. When I say "Me no speeka dee espanisha", that should be your clue to shut the fuck up.
I don't speak or read Chinese either, so don't put me on the phone with your sister. Chang wong yu fuk me...

And all you black folks, STOP ASKING ME FOR DISCOUNTS!!! You can stay in another hotel other than mine within the company and you'll get NO free rides!

I cuss too much...

So I’ve been told.
I say, “So the fuck what?” Like, what the fuck is wrong with saying some damn cuss words? Bitch, it’s just some muthafuckin’ words, shit! If a muthafucka wanna say a muthafuckin’ cuss word then this muthafucka says go the fuck ahead!! If I wanna add a muthafuckin’ cuss word in my muthafuckin’ sentence, it’s because I want the muthafucka to get the full muthafuckin’ effect of the muthafuckin’ point I’m trying to make to the muthafucka. So, muthafucka, if you don’t like it then take your muthafuckin’ ass to another muthafuckin’ room or some shit.

Bitch ass muthafucka.

*Regroups* Sorry, yall. I had a Bernie Mac moment.
Speaking of Bernie Mac:

I have an attitude problem...

I’ve always admitted that from the get-go. I have a short temper and when I lose it, I fuckin’ lose it. Some people are quick to learn that and stay on my good side but there are still some that cannot understand how I operate. It's like they need a fuckin' manuel in English, Espanol and Francios. They keep going and repeatedly pushing all my buttons then wonder why I’ve gone crazy. Stupid, isn’t it? When I give my answer to your questions the first time around, I’m not changing it…that’s it. Keep asking, by the third time, you’ll be looking at me like I’m a completely different species. It’s THAT easy to piss me off. Everybody have known me long enough to know this. But, there’s always that one or two that seems to be slow to comprehend then their left wondering or hurt.

Black Women are mad...again!

So, earlier I was sitting here watching Miss Jia and Slim Thug go back and forth on…Twitter. (I'm on Twitter break but took a lil peak)

I'm guessing she mad.

You see, Slim authored a blog entry (yep, you read that right) for Vibe Online on the subject of black women and there high standards. Basically, he touched on how they have too high/unrealistic standards when looking for love among black men, their anger and bitterness, and blaming black men for their relationship issues. He also touched on the subject of interracial dating and white women, and how black men AND black women need to step their game up.

So Miss Jia naturally, like most black women, got MAD and started her post on the issue with the statement: I am so sick of everybody in the world trying to psychoanalyze Black women and why we’re single.
Um, y'all been doing it to yourselves AND to black men. For YEARS!! And was there NOT interviews and specials on the relationship issues and black men featuring BLACK WOMEN aired 20/20, Nightline, MSNBC etc.?

What Miss Jia got from reading his blog: Black women ain’t sh-t.
Talking about REACHIN'! Hell-fuckin-lo!!!!! I could have sworn I've heard, read and saw black women saying practically everyday that same exact thing about us black men.

I'm trying to understand why is it okay for black women to diss, generalize and psychoanalyze all black men (in their words "black men ain't shit") but it's a problem if black men do the same about black women? I mean, they get MAD. Kinda stupid, isn't it?

Now let me be honest, it does go BOTH ways but 98 percent of the time its the women. Let a dude say ONE thing, women will practically jump him. They get pretty hostile and angry if/when the situation is reversed, like it's okay for them to do it but not okay for black men to do it.

But I 've come to realize that most black women, and this isn't a generalization, are negative. All they speak is negativity but they damn sure don't like it when it's directed at them.

Lemme say this to both black women AND men: STOP DOWNING AND DISSING YOUR OWN PEOPLE! If you don't like being generalized negatively, don't do the same to anyone else. I swear black people are the most negative group on this planet.

Difference of Opinion

It annoys me when people try to force their OPINIONS down other people's throats, as if it's superior.

It’s a fuckin’ OPINION!

It doesn’t make you right or wrong. Don’t go around passing it off as if it’s a FACT because it’s NOT. The most common topic that these people do this is when it comes to discussing religion. Whenever it gets to that point, you lose all validity and credibility to me. That’s when I’ll tell you to pick up a dictionary for the meaning of “fact” and “opinion”. Maybe you’ll learn something.

Sneaky Bitches...

So I see somebody wants to hide behind a false name and send information to my family about me and what I do. I know its gotta be somebody I know and I know they reading this: Well, guess what BITCH? In case you forgot, I'm GROWN and I do what the FUCK I want. I'm not in no damn high school and I'm not about to entertain that shit. GROW THE FUCK UP AND MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS!!! Obviously, you're not happy with your own damn life that you gotta be worrying about somebody else's.

And you see why I don't trust people. They say, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Well, I don't know exactly who my enemy is but I'm damn sure about to find out...

Brake Happy...

If you live in Houston, you know, understand and feel exactly what I'm about to say.

THESE BITCHES IN THIS TOWN CAN'T DRIVE FOR SHIT!!!!!

Sure, there is a lot of road and highway construction going on in this city. In fact, I can't remember the last time that this city was completely construction free in the last 25 years (hol' on, lemme count the months and days) 5 months and 1 day that I've been alive and breathing.

But the damn construction isn't every-frickin'-where!

Morning and afternoon rush hour. That's normal. I get it. Traffic at odd hours and times of the day. Not really. But I get it. Usually, there's almost always an accident...right? WRONG!!

Half the time, there's NOTHING!! Just these no-driving ass idiots being fuckin' BRAKE HAPPY! And some of y'all already know I have a serious case of road rage. I just can't take this shit! It's not good for my blood pressure.

I need to move. Any suggestions?

Battle of the Besties...

If you already know me then you already know I'm not the messy type.

Okay, I'm lying. I can be messier than Wendy Williams at a celebrity wig trading fair sponsored by Beef Jerky.

Anyway, my best friend (we'll call her "Erica") has 2 besties. There's me, and there's the one she's had before me. See, she and I met almost 3 years ago on a cruise trip with our cousins. Confused? I know. Breakdown: my cousins through their mom; her cousins through their dad. If you didn't get that then I pray for you.

Anywho, her crazy ass girl (we'll call her "Rae") and I instantly hit it off when we first met later on. However, she's actually more of a damn fool than I am. But lately, she has been vaguely putting "Erica's" business out public via Facebook. I'm talking about everything about her personal life from relationships, family and career. EVERYTHING. "Erica" doesn't ever say much about it but she does tell me she gets embarrassed by it and wishes "Rae" would stop. I try to convince her to speak up but she's scared and she didn't want me to say anything. Mind you, this is supposed to be her best friend since HIGH SCHOOL.

Well, I had enough. Earlier this week, "Erica" called "Rae" for some ideas on what she should cook. Moments later, we find that "Rae" posted a Facebook status: "Let me tell you about a friend who calls me and ask for advice on cooking but she never invites me over to eat. Is that a friend or a friend of convenience?" Now, I and all my cousins (those that are also "Erica's") are FB friends with "Rae" and saw it. All it takes is for one person to say "I'm cooking" and we all just show up. No invites or anything. We family. Y'all know how it is. So I decided to be funny by posting the following status: "Let me tell about a friend of a friend who calls out her best friend when she doesn't get an invite to eat whenever she cooks but she knows she can just show up like everyone else does."

Now, was I wrong? I mean, if you knew me then you'd know I have a very joking nature. Seriously, I'm funny without even intending to be funny. But me posting that status was a joke, which we all understood. Well, all except "Rae". It was all fun and games...until she said she wanted to FUCK ME UP!

OH HEEEEEEEEEELLLZ NAW!!!

Then she posted another status: "I see she got her roommate speaking for her. Baby, speak when you're spoken to. Thanks for the shout out. FYI, I'm never scared."

My status response: "Don't think you can just call people out on FB whenever you feel like it but then you want to fuck somebody else up for calling YOU out. I'm just calling it like I see it. Chill out with the childish shit and GROW UP!"

And then she commented: "Dude, let me tell you this. Before you speak, look in the mirror. You have been calling people out since day one. Don't think nobody really knows what you do on twitter. You talk bad about everybody in your fam so you may not want to go there. I call it like I see. Pick and choose your battles. Now, I'ma be a woman and bounce. Have a great life loser!"

Yep, I responded: "I know what the fuck I do. Don't fuck with me. You can call me out on my shit all you want; I don't give a fuck. I'll go wherever the fuck I want. Just know your ass isn't going to threaten me and think you'll get away with it. You tell YOURSELF to pick and choose battles before you try to get into some shit with me." (She quickly deleted me as a friend soon after)

Clearly, I would have written more but I was typing from my Blackberry and it was late. First of all, "Rae" doesn't follow me on twitter. Secondly, my tweets are protected so she doesn't know shit. Thirdly, my fam already knows everything I've tweeted about them because I said it to their face. I've never spoken ill about them. There may have been a couple of things I said here and there but never ill. If I ever said something behind their back, I got called on it and I accept full responsibility for it, whether I'm wrong or I'm right. Why the fuck get mad at anything? Everyone that knows me knows my attitude and what can happen if my buttons are pushed, and they know NOT to pull those triggers. "Rae" clearly has a lesson to learn. She better hope she doesn't cross my path from now on.

Funny thing, my fam who saw all of this, actually sided and agreed with me. And this whole time, poor "Erica" is stuck in the middle, and she tried to stop it all. Now, since we're roommates, she's stuck with a dilemma...

Black folks, we gotta do better...

Black people are the most negative amongst each other out of all the races on this earth.

Disagree if you want but that statement is true. The Academy Awards held this past Sunday is proof of that.

Let me start by saying congratulations to my favorite hairy-legged banshee Mo'Nique for winning the Oscars Best Supporting Actress category for her role as Mary Jones in the film "Precious: Based on the novel Push by Sapphire". It was well deserved. I mean, she was the best. (And congrats to Sandra, although I wanted Meryl to win.)

Now, as I was saying, the Oscars telecast brought out the negativity, jealousy and hateration from black people. They complained because the ceremony used a certain clip from the movie Precious. Y'all know, the chicken run. Guess what? It won Best Adapted Screenplay. It was a very popular scene. Why not show it? Of course, those that still have that slave mentality were offended because it was a big black girl with some fried chicken. Y'all know how us black folk be bout dat fried shikkin!

Then there's the complaint about the Oscars only awarding black actors for playing roles "depicting the black race in the worst way possible." HUH?! Like, really???

Denzel Washington for playing a crooked cop. Halle  Berry for tricking out a white man. Jennifer Hudson for being a big, washed up singer and a single mother hiding her child from the baby daddy. Mo'Nique was an unemployed, neglecting, hateful and abusive single mother that didn't give a shit that her daughter was raped by the man she loved. Jamie Foxx was a blind singer and womanizer. Forrest Whitaker as a brutally animalistic polygamous dictator. All of these award-winning actors portrayed characters which BLACK people nitpicked as the negative roles.

Have we forgotten? Hilary Swank as a transgendered man in Boyz Don't Cry. Glenn Close as a psychotic lover in Fatal Attraction. Charlize Theron as a lesbian serial killer in Monster. Kim Basinger as an neglectful alcoholic mother in 8 Mile. Are these negative roles? I don't hear any WHITE people complaining about anything.

Um, if I'm not mistaken, the roles played by ALL of the actors I've mentioned, both black and white, actually depict REAL LIFE SITUATIONS. Regardless of race - black, white, Asian, middle eastern - all of these characters EXIST on this earth. They're REAL and have been brought to life on the big screen to show the people who don't know how it is to live this way or what real people go through. This world is not all "peaches and cream", and people need to realize that. Real people exists that relates to these stories about real life. Nothing about these characters are typical "black" roles.

All of these actors were recognized for their performances, their range and the emotion they bring to the characters. They broke away from the normal, typical roles they usually play. Look at Training Day and the rest of Denzel's work, Monster's Ball and Halle's resume, or even Precious and Mo'Nique's credits. Notice a difference? These roles are the hardest to portray and those with the extraordinary acting abilities were selected to bring them to life. Any actor, no matter what race, could have played the crooked cop in Training Day but they wouldn't even amount to half the job Denzel did. He owned that role. And who would have thought Mo'nique could be taken seriously and tackle a role that required some real acting chops to get to the deepest and darkest, most screwed up depths of the human soul? Well, guess what? She signed, sealed and delivered it straight to that Oscar win. Mo was Mary Jones.

Does Will Smith deserve an Oscar? Of course he does, based on his roles in Ali and The Pursuit of Happyness. The reason he lost both is because Denzel (Training Day) and Forrest (Last King of Scotland) took home the prize. But since "we black folks" love to nitpick the negatives, let's REALLY look at the two films: Ali was a cheater and Gardner was homeless single father with a kid whose mother abandoned. Still think he should have won? *Roll-eyes* Anyway, Will's time is coming but I have to say I feel that he's being typecasted into comedic and good guy roles without realizing it.

I'm sure Asians in Hollywood aren't happy that most of their movies are about karate. Native Americans must be up in arms that they're always being represented by tanned white actors. When was the last time you saw a comedy or a love story, let alone black comedies and love stories, that was Oscar-worthy? Yeah, I thought so.

Check this list of Academy Award-winning African Americans:
•Hattie McDaniel, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Gone With the Wind (1939).
•Sidney Poitier, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Lilies of the Field (1963).
•Louis Gossett, Jr., Best Actor in a Supporting Role for An Officer and a Gentleman (1982).
•Denzel Washington, Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Glory (1989).
•Whoopi Goldberg, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Ghost (1990).
•Cuba Gooding, Jr., Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Jerry Maguire (1996).
•Halle Berry, Best Actress in a Leading Role for Monster’s Ball (2001).
•Denzel Washington, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Training Day (2001).
•Sidney Poitier, Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award “for his extraordinary performances and unique presence on the screen and for representing the industry with dignity, style and intelligence.” [awarded at the 2002 Academy Awards Ceremony]
•Jamie Foxx, Best Actor in a Leading Role for Ray (2004).
•Morgan Freeman, Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Million Dollar Baby (2004).
•Forest Whitaker, Best Actor in a Leading Role for The Last King of Scotland (2006).
•Jennifer Hudson, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Dreamgirls (2006).
•Mo'Nique, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Precious: Based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire (2010).
•Geoffrey Fletcher, Best Adapted Screenplay for Precious: Based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire (2010).

I'd say that's a GREAT list. This is better than having films like Friday After Next or Booty Call or Baby Boy being recognized. Those movies damn sure not Oscar-worthy.

I'm getting so sick of my people and this slave mentality B.S. We can't even praise or uplift one another but we're quick to bring each other down with negativity. It's getting old...seriously. We cannot advance living this way. We need to open our eyes and our minds. Are we THAT overly sensitive? If so, it's for all the wrong reasons and the wrong topics.

Racial Profiling happened to me...

The title says it all.

Yesterday afternoon, I left a job interview for a company located in Kingwood, TX. For those that don't know, Kingwood is a smaller community, dubbed as a "city", located on the northeastern border of Houston. I myself don't know the area that well as I hardly ever visit there. Really, there's nothing there.

Anyway, as a made my way back towards Highway 59 looking for a way to the west side of the highway, or the southbound side, I was pulled over by TWO Houston police officers. One Caucasian and one Hispanic. Mind you, I don't know the area so of course I was driving 30-35 mph and I didn't doing anything suspicious, other than being a little lost.

The Caucasian officer approached the car and asked for my license, which I provided, then asked if I've ever been arrested, to which I respond of course, "No." Meanwhile, Hispanic officer is on the other side of the car, peering through the window. The Caucasian then asked that I step out of the car, which I did, and he immediately began to search me, asking if I had any weapons on me or anything in the car that shouldn't be there. "No" to both questions. The Hispanic officer asked, which sounded more like a demand, to search the car, which I allowed. The white officer kept asking if I was positive I've never been arrested before, and I'm like I'd know if I've been to jail or not. Seriously, come on. So, while he runs up my information trying to seek whatever it is he feels he could find, the Hispanic officer comes back questioning why a wooden bar is in the car. Y'all know black folks: we always need something to hold the hood open. Then asked about me being a college student and what I was majoring. He was more friendly than the white guy. They questioned where I live too, and they actually knew the area. Not a bad neighborhood but it's no suburbia either. When I asked why I was out in the area, I explained I came from the interview, giving them a description of what the job and company is about at their request. Not finding what he was hoping for, the white officer handed back my license and stated they were letting me go with no tickets. What they were going to ticket me for anyway? Beats me.

The Hispanic guy went on to say that I was a good guy *duh!* told me to finish school and congratulated me on getting hired, even going as far as giving me a high-five. If y'all could have seen the look on my face.

The whole time I was thinking:

But I kept my cool. Most people would get angry or highly upset in a situation like this that they lose control of their emotions and their mouth. Not me. I cooperated, remained calm and answered every single question with confidence and without hesitation. I know you're probably saying, "Why didn't you get upset? You should be PISSED!" The thing is, I did NOTHING wrong. If I reacted differently, it would show that I'm guilty of something. But they picked the wrong guy...

The better question is: Why were these HPD officers pulling drivers over in the jurisdiction of the city of Kingwood, which has their own officers? Being a part of a family of police officers and sheriff deputies, I know all about the law and how each department/jurisdiction operates, and their rules. These officers broke the rules. I memorized the white officer's badge number while he researched my information. All it took was a phone call to my people...

Am I over-reacting? I DON'T THINK SO!

And I thought BET was bad enough....

Is this b.i.t.c.h. SERIOUS?!

My lil cuz introduced this video to me. Some little ignorant twit named CNichole7 decided to speak about how she is VEXED by her own people of the SAME FRICKIN' RACE!!!

::Part 1::

::Part 2::

Hypocrisy.
Ignorance.
Racism.
Stupidity.
Contradiction.
Inarticulate.
There's SOOOO much more this girl exudes in these videos. If this FOOL had any ounce of education and paid attention in her damn classes, she would know that no matter what she's mixed with, if she is of African-American descent then she IS African-American. This girl is no more above the group she's talking about. She's inarticulate, speaking the exact same way that the COONS, as she refers to them, do that are from the "hood". I'm bet this girl comes from the same place. The whole time she talked and degraded not only the entire African-American race but also herself. Just a female version of Uncle Ruckus. Notice how she dislikes "nigga" but uses the word like it's part of her vocabulary? If she'd given me a meaningful or tragic racial story about something that she witnessed and affected her then I'd take her seriously...but I just can't. And she's obviously does NO research either. Did ANYBODY tell her that Moorehouse is an ALL MALE SCHOOL? Smfh.

And why is it that Howard U. always the first thing people call out when they know NOTHING about HBCU's? *See Part 2 above* I've never been to an HBCU but I can name Dillard, Xavier, Prairie View, Texas Southern, Grambling, Alcorn State, Southern...I could go on and on.

Besides, if this IDIOT dislikes BET and "niggas" then what the H-E-double hockey sticks was she doing at a BET event anyway? These kinds of people KILL me.

Mirror Mirror...

Have you ever met someone that always negatively gossip about others? The ones that claim to be Christians? The ones that ACK like they have no skeletons in their closets? You know, they live in glass houses.

So why when somebody makes an attempt to air their dirty laundry, they want to act like they can do no wrong? Most of the time people would back down from telling somebody about themselves but me? I keep going. I hate when people go around acting like they’re some kind of saint. Bitch fuckin’ puh-leez. I know one that actually BELIEVE they don’t talk about anybody behind their backs. What?! #BitchBooBye

Them hustlas keep on talkin'...

This shit kills me. It’s like every time I turn around, my name comes out of somebody’s mouth with negativity. Why do black folks, especially family, like to start some shit? I recently discovered somebody I’m TRYING to trust (and I think trust is over-rated) had been trying to dig up some dirt on me. This is supposed to be my best-est friend in the whole world, ever. Going in my friends list, conversations, tweets, emails. I discovered that by accident when I was using her laptop. She's even been trying to dig into my past for stuff that I haven't even told her about, let alone anybody else. Get this: she happens to be a cousin of my cousins. (Hope that makes sense, lol) Our messy ass cousins that always talk gossip shit behind your back but smile and be friendly in your face like all is good with the world. Little do they know.

Anyway, I noticed that she’s been acting all slick and sneaky lately. She forgets I’m a Scorpio; slick and sneaky is my nature. Oh, but wait until this blows up in her face.

But seriously, why must our people be on some hater shit? Like, they’re always worrying about you and what you’re doing then go talk some shit about you. I get tired of people dragging my name through dirt then ACT like they’re my friends. Then they ACT like they didn’t do anything but I ALWAYS find out. But whatever.

I figured that if somebody’s always worrying about what you got going on then they’re not happy about something in their own lives. We’re always going to have haters. If you don’t have any then you haven’t accomplished anything. Let your haters be your motivators because, after all, they’re just confused admirers. I got nothing but love for them.

Aℓℓow мε τo iᴎτяoᴅucε мʏsεℓƒ...

Hi, I’m AJ and I’m an asshole. Well, not really…it depends on who you ask.
Allow me to introduce myself. Again, in case your glasses weren’t clean enough to read, my name is AJ. I’m a light-skinned black man (not African-American because I’m not from Africa). I reside in Houston, TX – born and bred. I love my French-Creole and Native American heritage. My grandparents moved here from Louisiana – Jennings and Opelousas to be exact. Thank Heavens because I’d kill myself if I ever had to live in the most boring places on earth. My mom’s folks I don’t claim; they’re country from Lufkin and Woodville, in east Texas. Good thing I take after my dad’s side, good hair and all. Both sides of my family are huge. I’m the eldest of five, my youngest brother and sister age 4 and 3. Yeah, I know…shut up.

I’m 25 years old and currently pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-medicine. Yes, I’m still an undergrad, so what? There was an unintentional three year break involved. Well, not exactly “unintentional”. Hell, I had to grow up and provide for myself since mommy wasn’t doing it. I want to attend the UT-Medical Branch here in Houston and become an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. If you’re slow, pick up a dictionary. And no, it’s not because I want to look at pussy all day.

In my free time, I love to write and listen to music. I’ve started three novels and a television script that’s kind of like a soap opera but of course, in true AJ fashion, none of them are finished. Lazy? I am but that’s not why. I hope soon I’ll be able to get back into writing and have my work published one day. As for music, I pretty much listen to all kind of genres from R&B to rock to hip-hop to gospel. Why limit myself? I’m the biggest Monica fan, and I also love Beyonce, Whitney “Newport Nippy” Houston, Daughtry, Nickelback, Kings of Leon, Trey Songz and Lady GaGa to name a few.

Basically, I started this blog to get some things off my chest and to speak my mind, and it’s the only outlet I have where folks I know and those close to me, like FAMILY, won’t know the shit I’m posting. I thought Twitter would be that outlet for me but they all followed me there and started a bunch of shit. Oh, well, I guess my life is your entertainment. That’s just the way it is. C’est la vie, sha.
